Continuing on in the “Taxonomy of Suckage”… this week let’s talk about high closing speed (HCS). Mixed class racing can feature cars of vastly different speeds. Slow cars need to watch out for fast cars and vice-versa. Especially vice-versa.

Faster cars have a lot of options where to pass. Surprising a slow car on the inside of a corner after the slow car has turned in is a particularly bad option, especially if the off-pace car has an inexperienced driver.
